Gypsum - Pelletized 21% Ca 16% S

This is a pelletized calcium sulfate (gypsum) product with 21% calcium. Calcium sulfate is a great form of plant-available calcium and sulfate, but note 2 caveats:
1. The calcium is only available once calcium base saturation rises above 60% (perhaps giving you some benefit as low as 50%)
2. The sulfate in calcium sulfate, as with all sulfates, will NOT increase the sulfur levels on subsequent soil tests (for that use elemental sulfur), it will only feed the crop and perhaps some the next year.
The yearly application limit is 2,000 lbs per acre/year.
May be allowed for use in organic production - pellets are made with 2% lignosulfonates. Always check with your organic certifier before using any product.
